Deep conditioning — for hair that has had a lot of chemistry
This group puts conditioning agents back into the hair. It is not straightening and it is not perming. Hair comes out softer, easier to comb and with more weight to it — but curly hair does not become straight through conditioning, and we say so before you book.

Who this suits
- Hair bleached several times over, now dry and catching when you comb it
- Split ends that tangle so easily you have to pull them apart
- You want straightening or a perm but your stylist has said your hair is not ready
- Hair that looks frizzy and weightless even though it is not curly
- Keeping hair in condition between colour appointments
If you want curly hair to become straight, conditioning cannot do that. That needs a straightening programme, which is a different service.
What happens
From the moment you sit down
How much this achieves depends on how much your hair can absorb, which genuinely differs from person to person.
- Assess the hair and choose the treatment. Hair lacking protein and hair lacking moisture need different things. The wrong one makes hair feel coarser, not better.
- Wash to open the cuticle. Styling product left in the hair blocks the treatment from reaching inside.
- Apply in layers. Section by section, with the most damaged areas taking more than the parts still in good condition — not the same amount everywhere.
- Heat or wait, depending on the formula. Each product has its own method; some need heat, others only time.
- Rinse and seal the cuticle. The final stage is what keeps what you just put in from washing straight back out.

Charged by hair length. Which formula suits you is decided on the day, based on the condition of your hair.
Afterwards
How to make it last
Conditioning replaces what has been lost, and it will be lost again through ordinary daily life.
- Genuinely reduce the heat. Conditioning your hair then ironing it every day undoes what you just put in.
- Use a treatment at home between visits. Once a week is enough, from mid-length to the ends. It does not need to reach the scalp.
- Blot, do not rub. Wet hair is at its most fragile; rubbing it with a towel lifts the cuticle and adds split ends.
- Comb from the ends upward. Combing from the roots down gathers every tangle into the ends and pulls until they break.
- Repeat in rounds. Badly damaged hair usually needs several sessions before the change is obvious. One session may only get you part of the way.
Questions
What people ask before deciding
Will conditioning make my hair straight?
No. Conditioning is not straightening. Your hair will be softer, easier to comb and carry more weight, but curly hair will not become straight. For straight hair you need a straightening programme.
Will one session be enough?
Hair that is not badly damaged usually shows a change from the first session. Hair bleached many times generally needs several rounds before the difference is clear. We tell you honestly on the day which case yours looks like.
Why is there no guarantee on conditioning?
Because the result depends on how much each person's hair absorbs, which genuinely varies and cannot be controlled — unlike straightening and perms, where the result is far more measurable and which do carry a 7-day guarantee.
How is fresh keratin different from keratin straightening?
Fresh keratin is a conditioning treatment and does not make hair straight. Keratin straightening changes the structure of the hair so it stays straight permanently. Different services, different prices.
Can I condition first and straighten later?
Yes, and in many cases you should. If a strand test shows straightening now risks breakage, we will recommend conditioning first and coming back.
How often should I have it done?
It depends on what your hair has been through and how often you have chemical work done. Your stylist will suggest an interval that suits your hair on the day.
